FACTS:

The Defendant was accused of raping a woman known to him that lived in a nearby apartment complex. The Defendant insisted that the sexual activity was consensual between the two adults. Counsel’s investigation revealed that the alleged victim had fabricated the story because her boyfriend had found out that she had engaged in sexual intercourse with the Defendant. In an effort to keep her boyfriend, she reported that the sex had not been voluntary but was rape. These facts along with polygraph examinations were provided to the State Attorney

RESULT: Charge Dismissed.
